Attack on Azaduddin Owaisi's Delhi home; 5 members of Hindu Sena arrested
Five members of the Hindu Sena have been arrested in connection with the attack on the Delhi home of AIMIM party leader and Hyderabad MP Yuman Azaduddin Owaisi.
The five were residents of the Mandoli area in northeast Delhi, said DCP Deepak Yadav of New Delhi district. Azaduddin Owaisi's house in Delhi was attacked and damaged on Tuesday.
Five members of the Hindu Sena have been arrested by Delhi police for allegedly damaging the house of All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslim (AIMIM) party leader and Hyderabad MP Azaduddin Owaisi on Asoka Road in the New Delhi district.
New Delhi District DCP Deepak Yadav confirmed to the Indian Express that the five were arrested from the Mandoli area of northeast Delhi. “We have arrested them from that place. During the initial interrogation, they said they were outraged by his comments. We are investigating them, ”said DCP Deepak Yadav.
The incident came to the notice of the police following a PCR call that some people were vandalizing Owaisi's Delhi home. "Police rushed to the spot and arrested all the accused. When police arrived, they were damaging the entrance and windows of the Owaisi house, ”said a senior police official.
