How to Documents and EC of registration land and houses, on IGRS Andhra Pradesh?

The Registration and Stamps Department in Andhra Pradesh (AP), which started its operations in 1864, collects revenue for the state through stamp duty, registration charges and transfer duty. The official portal also acts as a virtual medium, to provide citizens with a host of services. Apart from finding all information about stamp duty, registration charges, property valuation, list of notaries, etc., citizens in Andhra can avail of a large number of other services, using the portal. In this article, we will learn about the important services provided by IGRS Andhra Pradesh (IGRS AP).

Step 1: Proceed to the official website of IGRS AP or click here.

Step 2: On your right-hand side, you can see a list of services. Click on ‘List of Transactions’ to proceed.

Step 3: Enter a few details, such as the district, document number, sub-registrar’s office and registration year, to check the details of a document or layout plots. In case you wish to see the details of an apartment, you will be asked for the flat number, apartment name and house number. Once you enter the required details and click on ‘Submit, you will be directed to a page with the details.

How to search for EC on IGRS AP?

The next service on the IGRS AP portal is the EC search facility. Note that at times when the server is busy or under migration, you may not be able to avail of the service and may be required to visit the concerned sub-registrar’s office (SRO), or get the EC through the Meeseva portal. However, under normal circumstances, you can avail of this service on the IGRS AP portal.

To search for an encumbrance certificate, simply input details like the document number, house number, or survey number in a revenue village and select the district and location of the SRO, to proceed. For certificates before 1983, you will have to approach the SRO.
