The Telangana government on Tuesday approved the voluntary retirement application by IPS officer RS Praveen Kumar and relieved him from duties with immediate effect.
Dr RS Praveen Kumar, who served as the secretary of Telangana Social Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society and Telangana Tribal Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society for over eight years, had tendered resignation on Monday, six years ahead of his superannuation. In his place, the government-appointed Special Secretary Finance Ronald Rose, IAS, with full additional charge of TSWREIS until the regular arrangement.
Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar in the order said: under All India Services (DCRB) Rules, 1958, Dr RS Praveen Kumar has been permitted to take voluntary retirement and is relieved from duties with immediate effect.
